The UK capital’s oldest purpose-built bookshop, Daunt Books in Marylebone is the setting for a relaxed but revealing conversation with London writer and journalist Matthew Green. His latest book, Aftershock, describes what is often a difficult transition between war and peace for military personnel.
A studio discussion follows with Matthew and Adrian joined by Hilary Horton, a healthcare manager who suffered post-traumatic stress disorder after service in Iraq. The condition’s serious, but the discussion includes lighter moments, too.
And there’s humour from 17th-century London ‘blogger’ Samuel Pepys having, er, fun with new communications technology!
